HalfKey leases furnished apartments in Tokyo. We rent homes directly from owners, furnish them, and lease them back out for a month, a year, or longer. No key money, no guarantor, and no agent fee for the people who move in.

For tenants

If you're moving to Tokyo for work, or you just want to stay a while without signing a normal Japanese lease, we give you a furnished home with utilities, Wi-Fi, and monthly cleaning included. No key money, no guarantor, no agent fee. Our concierge team is available 24/7 on WhatsApp, LINE, or email, from move-in day through move-out.

For homeowners

If you own a home in Tokyo, we lease it directly from you and pay the agreed rent every month, whether or not it's occupied. We vet every resident, handle the day-to-day, and take care of the property. Some owners lease to us year-round. Others hand over just the months they're not using the place themselves.

For brokers

If you work with property owners in central Tokyo, send us the listing. We review it, and if it's a fit, we lease it and pay a commission once the lease is signed. No tours, no tenant hunting, and no ongoing management on your side.

How it works

Renting from us starts with browsing available homes, or telling us what you need and when. For homeowners, it starts with a free preliminary offer, a home visit, and a lease we send you to review before you decide. Either way, one team handles everything after that. There's no separate agent and no separate management company.
